The Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) index rose by 124 points during the week backed by sustained buying interest.
Benchmark index CSE-40 was higher 124.78 points during the week. The local bourse had registered by 208.38 points.
The index opened at 5983.00 and it registered gains in all the trading session of the week.
Blueprint Securities closed at Rs 782.30 to end the week. Larsen & Toubro during the week lost some ground and closed at Rs 1,360.
Reliance Industries was up by Rs 828.10 and State Bank of India slipped to end at Rs 2079.20 to end the week. Tata Steel finished the week higher at 467.
