Metal stocks were on a roll on the bourses on Thursday. Hindalco lead the charge on both the BSE and NSE. At 3.15 pm the share was trading at ₹188.75 on the NSE. This represented a gain of 3.54 per cent on its previous close at ₹182.30.
Private lender Kotak Mahindra Bank built on its morning levels to hold gains of 3.38 per cent. It was trading at ₹915. The share had ended the previous session at ₹885.05.
Grasim Industries spiked up 3.33 per cent. The share was trading at ₹3,372 as against ₹3,263.25 at the finish on Wednesday.
Jindal Steel made further gains. The share was quoting at ₹301.95 as against 292.45 at close on Wednesday. This was a gain of 3.25 per cent.
Tata Power Company spurted 3.24 per cent at ₹108.35. The share ended yesterday’s session at ₹104.95.
