Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India has increased its stake in Aurobindo Pharma Ltd to above 5 per cent by acquiring over 1.67 lakh shares.
The shares were bought through an open market acquisition. Consequently, LIC's share in the Hyderabad-based company has gone up from 4.987 per cent to 5.044 per cent, the BSE e was informed on Monday.
The shares of Aurobindo Pharma closed 2.95 per cent at Rs 157.65 on the BSE.
