Another stock that could face pressure would be Jindal Steel and Power Ltd as there is trouble brewing at its Angul plant (Odisha). According to reports, some people including women were injured when they tried to enter the plant premises, demanding dismissal of outside labourers. A PTI report quoting the JSPL's Executive Director, Mr Rajesh Jha, said: “We are open to discussion. We are keen to resolve the issue through talks but the villagers should respond in a positive way.” The land oustees alleged that the company defied the Government's direction and gave employment to outsiders ignoring interest of the local people who gave away their land for the industry.
