Asian shares were trading in a mixed trend on Monday driven by further signs of recovery in the US job market which highlighted a brighter outlook for its economy. But uncertainty over Egyptian crisis capped the gains.
Hong Kong index Hang Seng was down 0.55 per cent at 23,777.48, Japan’s Nikkei up 0.69 per cent at 10,616.05, Korea Composite Stock Price Index up 1.28 per cent at 2,098.50 and the Singapore Straits Time Index was down 0.1 per cent at 3,207.85 points.
