Maruti Suzuki India is scheduled to announce its second quarter earnings on Thursday. According to a consensus estimate of analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters, profit would be ₹828 crore for the three months ended September. It had reported a profit of ₹670 crore during the corresponding year-ago period. Analysts will also track the company’s Ciaz sales figures/outlook, as Maruti aims to sell 60,000-70,000 units annually.

Bonus meet adds interest to Insecticides

The board of directors of Insecticides (India) will meet on Thursday to consider and recommend a bonus issue of shares. The board will also consider the unaudited financial results for the quarter/half-year ended September 30. Besides, it will decide on increasing the authorised share capital of the company. Traders and analysts will be keen to know the bonus ratio, if approved. It would be the maiden bonus from the company.

Stock split to keep Shivam Auto in focus

Shares of Shivam Autotech will remain in focus, as the company has fixed Thursday as ex-date for the proposed stock split. The company proposes to subdivide each share of face value ₹10 to five shares of face value ₹2 each. The stock, which closed at ₹343.65, will start trading in the range of ₹65-70. Those buying the shares from Thursday will not be entitled to receive the stock-split shares. Promoters hold 74.8 per cent stake in the company.
