Principal Financial Group has appointed Bharat Ravuri as Managing Director of Principal Asset Management.
Ravuri joined Principal India in 2019 as Managing Director for Principal Retirement Advisors. He has over 26 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience in the financial services industry across multiple countries, said a company statement. He launched MintZip, a fintech firm that helps simplify financial decisions for customers, it added.
He is experienced in managing large businesses and has been instrumental in increasing revenues through innovative product launches besides new market strategies and has championed large global transformational programmes, the statement further said.
Ravuri holds an MBA in Leadership and Change Management from the Indian School of Business.
In his new role, he will spearhead the business and operations for Principal Asset Management. He will focus on improving financial inclusion, providing better access to solutions and enhancing long-term financial security for customers, the statement said.
