The board of Binny has considered and approved the proposal for sale of the company’s coal yard property (part) to an extent of 33 grounds and 523.712 sq ft situated at Perambur, Chennai, for ₹25.50 crore to Everwin Educational and Charitable Trust, Kolathur. The board also approved cancellation of the agreement (December 2014) entered into with S Varadharajan and V Kanagalakshmi for purchase of land to an extent of one ground and 1,637 sq ft at Perambur High Road, Perambur, Chennai, for ₹2.42 crore. Shares of BSE-listed Binny jumped 3.7 per cent at ₹286.30 on the BSE.
