GE Energy Europe BV’s open offer for 26 per cent stake in Alstom India at ₹440 a share will begin on December 29 and end on January 11, 2016, according to an exchange filing. The open offer was first announced on May 5, 2014, after GE Energy’s parent General Electric Co made a binding offer for French engineering major Alstom SA’s energy operations for 12.35 billion euros (around ₹88,300 crore). The deal was completed on Tuesday. The mandatory open offer was announced due to a change in the holding company of Alstom India, as control will pass to General Electric from the French power equipment maker. Shares of Alstom India were down 2 per cent at ₹608.4 on the BSE.
Kemrock Industries and Exports has informed the exchanges that a reference has been filed by the company to the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction under the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provision) Act (SICA), 1985. The BIFR has said that the reference has been registered with it. Shares of Kemrock Industries slumped 7 per cent at ₹16.45 on the BSE.
The board of PTL Enterprises on Friday decided for rectification of shareholdings in the promoters’ category and approved transfer/sale of shareholding in Artemis Medicare Services (30.25 lakh equity shares) to Artemis Health Sciences - holding company of AMS. The stock of PTL Enterprises closed at ₹80.15, down 2.73 per cent on the BSE.
