Aditya Birla Chemicals (India) Ltd has approved the brown field expansion of the capacity of its caustic soda plant by 150 TPD along with a 30 MW power plant at the existing manufacturing facility located at Garhwa Road, Jharkhand. The project cost is estimated at Rs 350 crore. The entire expansion plan would be executed within 18 months from zero date.
Asian Paints Ltd has said that due to the unprecedented situation and prolonged curfew in Egypt, its subsidiary, SCIB Chemicals SAE, has temporarily shut operations at its two plants since January 29.
