Asian stocks were ruling firm on Thursday taking cues from overnight gains in the Wall Street.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 was up 4.2 points or 0.04 per cent at 9,453.67. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 173.39 points or 0.76 per cent to 22,998.79. Singapore’s Straits Times gained 24.06 points or 0.8 per cent to 3,046.25. South Korea’s Kospi climbed 20.04 points or 1 per cent to 2,032.22.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 jumped 41.7 points or 0.9 per cent to 4,694.10. China’s Shanghai Composite was up 2.77 points or 0.09 per cent at 2,951.25. Taiwan’s Taiex gained 40.92 points or 0.48 per cent to 8,586.
