Shares of General Insurance Corporation of India will turn ex-bonus and ex-dividend on Thursday. The company has recommended a 1:1 bonus issue and dividend of ₹13.5 a share (face value ₹5 each) to its shareholders. Investors who wish to benefit from these corporate actions, need to buy the PSU insurance major’s shares by Wednesday, as it has set July 14 as the record date to identify eligible shareholders. GIC India had hit the capital market in October 2017 at a price band of ₹855-912 a share.
