NHPC has received shareholders’ approval for a proposal to raise up to ₹4,500 crore through issuance of bonds on private placement basis in domestic market in the next one year. The bonds can be issued in one or more tranches within a year from the date of passing of the resolution. The stock of NHPC gained 0.78 per cent at ₹25.6 on the NSE.
