The third tranche of sovereign gold bonds will remain open for subscription from March 8 till March 14.
According to an official statement, the issue price of the gold bonds for the third tranche has been fixed at Rs 2,916 per gram of gold. The rate has been fixed on the basis of the simple average of closing price for gold of 999 purity of the previous week (February 29, 2016 to March 4, 2016) published by the India Bullion and Jewellers' Association Ltd (IBJA).
