The RBI has given its approval for the appointment of Mr P. C. Cyriac, IAS (Retd) as part-time Chairman of Federal Bank Ltd, under Section 10 B (1A) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
Mr Cyriac is a Director on the board of the bank since September 2004.
In a career spanning 35 years, he has held several senior positions in the both the Central and Tamil Nadu governments.
He was, among others, Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, and Chairman of the Rubber Board.
