The Union Bank of India, along with Financial Information Network & Operations Ltd (FINO), has organised a financial inclusion programme in Basudevpur and Banipur villages of the Howrah district.
As a part of the programme, Mr S.S. Mundra, executive director of Union Bank of India, and deputy general managers of the bank, Mr K.A. Subba Rao and Mr S. N. Tripathy, handed over biometric cards to the villagers for hassle-free banking.
Till now over 10,000 villagers in Howrah district are enrolled under the financial inclusion programme.
