Lending institutions HDFC Ltd and YES Bank have paid a healthy advance income tax for the third quarter, higher by 10 per cent and 38 per cent, respectively.
The country's largest home loan company HDFC paid advance income tax of Rs 810 crore. In the previous year, same quarter, it paid Rs 735 crore.
The country's mid-sized lender YES Bank paid Rs 424 crore of advance tax, an increase of 38 per cent when compared with Rs 307 crore in the October to December period last year.
