Lakshmi Vilas Bank’s sanitation project in rural areas of Nagapattinam and Tiruvarur districts of Tamil Nadu was inaugurated late last week. AJ Vidyasagar, Chief Operating Officer, LVB, said the project was part of the bank’s CSR initiatives and in line with the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. The bank has constructed nine toilets in the villages. “Lack of sanitation facilities is a major stumbling block in the villages in rural India. We are aiming to address this by constructing toilets in such villages,” he said.
