The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of P V Bharathi as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Corporation Bank. Prior to this elevation, Bharathi was an Executive Director at Canara Bank.

Meanwhile, the Centre has also approved the appointment of K Ramachandran as Executive Director of Allahabad Bank. Prior to this elevation, Ramachandran was General Manager at Corporation Bank.
While Balakrishna Alse has now been appointed as Executive Director of Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC), Birupaksha Mishra has been appointed as the Executive Director of Corporation Bank. Ptior to this appointment, Mishra was General Manager at Central Bank of India and Balakrishna was General Manager at Corporation Bank.
