Mobile payments and commerce platform Paytm has announced its Maha Bazaar Sale from 12-14th October.
The company has lined up the total customer benefits (comprising discounts and cashbacks) to a value of over Rs 1,000 crore during the sale period. Paytm aims to grow by 100 per cent over last year and achieve overall 10 million transactions in three days of sale.
Over 10,000 of the 1.3 lakh Paytm merchants across India would contribute over 100Cr in cashback this festive season. Small and medium sellers across the country secure orders for up to 500-600 items, clocking in over Rs 4-5 crore in sales over the last 2 years. This has created a great avenue for offline merchants to come online with their varied categories that customers buy offline from the local market.
The company said in a statement that Paytm Maha Bazaar sale includes participation of over 550 brands across categories such as apparel, mobiles and electronics. This festive season, a wide range of categories including fashion led by ethnic wear, gifts & sweets, and home furnishings will also feature exciting promotions on Paytm. Customers will continue to enjoy the company’s ‘Best Price Guarantee’ across all categories as Paytm merchants host unmatched cashback offers.
Saurabh Vashishtha, Vice President - Paytm, expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming festive sale, “Diwali is the biggest shopping season in India and the special offers on Paytm will add further delight to this year’s celebrations. We believe that we will deliver a great experience to our consumers and sellers this Diwali. This is in line with our vision to position ourselves in the Indian consumer's mind as the one-stop destination for value-driven online shopping.”
