A press release by Dr B.S.N. Prasad, Commissioner of Income Tax, Mangalore, said ASK is modelled as a one-stop computerised facility for providing tax-payer services in a time-bound manner promised in the department's citizen charter.

The ultimate objective of the kendra is to promote voluntary tax compliance through improved taxpayer services, he said.
Mr K. Satyanarayana, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Bangalore, will inaugurate ASK.
Mr M. Narendra, Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Overseas Bank, will inaugurate the bank's ATM in the premises of the kendra.
Mr Ananthakrishna, Chairman of Karnataka Bank Ltd, will be the chief guest on the occasion.
