Karnataka has urged Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi to institute Kannada Chair (Kannada Adyayana Peetha).
Karnataka Minister for Kannada, Culture, Woman and Child Development Umashree met Prof Sudhir K Sopory, Vice Chancellor, JNU, and discussed the establishment of Chair in the University.
JNU Rector, Prof Sudha Pai, Karnataka Principal Secretary, Department of Kannada And Culture, Dr Shalini Rajanish, noted Litterateur, Prof H S Shiva Prakash and others were part of the delegation.
