IIMB students, NSRCEL to host Visionary Leadership Summit

Students of the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) at IIM Bangalore (IIMB), in association with IIMB’s innovation and entrepreneurship hub NSRCEL, to host new economy leaders and entrepreneurs at ‘Drishti 2019’.

The industry leaders are expected to show a glimpse of what the future holds. In addition to the interesting keynote speeches and panel discussions, the event will include workshops on digital marketing and a Hackathon night. The introductory speeches will be delivered by Professor G Raghuram, Director, IIM Bangalore, and Sumit Chauhan, Head - Lifestyle Business at HARMAN International. The Chief Guest of the event, K T Rama Rao, Minister of IT, Telangana, will also address the audience.

The highlights of the sessions are: ‘Organizational Challenges in Digital Transformation’ by Richard de Souza, Mahindra Digital; ‘Leadership Lessons from Battlefield’ by Lieutenant General Satish Dua; ‘Fintech Transformation - Key Trends’ by Guru Bhat, GM Technology and Head of Engineering, Paypal India; and ‘Leadership in Indian Agriculture and Sustaining Rural Livelihoods’ by Dr. G. V. Ramanjaneyulu, Executive Director, Centre for Sustainable Agriculture.

There are four panel discussions: ‘Digital Transformation’ will be moderated by Professor Anshuman Tripathy, IIMB faculty from the Production & Operations Management area; ‘Dealing with Technological Disruption’ will be moderated by Professor Prakash Bagri, Adjunct Faculty, IIMB; ‘Alternative Finance’ will be moderated by Professor P C Narayan, former IIMB faculty from the Finance & Accounting area, and ‘Women Who Took up the Unconventional Path’ will be moderated by Madhuvathi Ananth, Head, Seller Marketing - Flipkart Marketplace.
