JNTU Hyderabad and Alliance Institute have joined hands with the University of the Pacific (USA) to offer joint MS program in Industrial Pharmaceutics.
A formal launch event was held today at UGC auditorium, JNTUH, where representatives from three institutions exchanged memoranda of understanding.
Alliance Institute has been formed by professionals with significant experience in teaching, industry and drug control administration. Its curriculum is based on Indian and international academic standards and taught by experienced faculty from India and abroad.
University of the Pacific ranks in the top 100 universities in the United States. It offers degrees from 10 different schools and colleges including School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
JNTUH has established the “University-Industry hub” for an effective interface with the industry and design and deliver programmes tailored to the industry needs. Vice-Chancellor Rameshwar Rao highlighted the role of pharmaceutical research and need for extending the benefits of such research throughout the world.
Alliance Institute Chairman Ramana Malladi and Ge-Yao Liu from the University of the Pacific, US addressed the gathering. Katherine Dhanani, Consul General of the US in Hyderabad who was the Guest of Honor discussed a number of collaborative educational programs between India and the US.
