Two institutions of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) figure in the QS World subject-wise rankings for the third consecutive year.

A press release by MAHE said here on Friday that it is the only private university in the country to figure in the QS World subject-wise rankings in medicine and pharmacy. This is the third consecutive year that MAHE’s Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal, have earned the rankings.

The other institutions to figure in the subject-wise rankings in medicine and pharmacy are: AIIMS, Delhi; Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi; and Banaras Hindu University.

The release said that KMC is ranked in the 351–400 band with an overall score of 58.9. Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences is ranked in the 201–250 band with an overall score of 59.8, it said.

Quoting H Vinod Bhat, Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, it said that both these institutions have lived up to their reputation and have ensured that MAHE is among the best in the country.

QS ranking system has several performance indicators such as academic reputation, employer reputation, student-to-faculty ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, and international student ratio, it added.
