Over 96 per cent of the first batch undergraduates of the class of 2015 from Shiv Nadar University have got job offers and admissions in international universities.
The big onesCognizant Technology Solutions made the maximum number of job offers to the first batch of the University’s students. The US-based software company with large development centres in India made nearly 30 offers, according to Madan Gopal, Director, School of Engineering, Shiv Nadar University.
Gopal told newspersons that out of the 250 students in the first batch, 96 per cent of the first undergraduate class of 2015 secured placements and admissions in the top ranked international universities. Some of the other companies that came for placement include IBM. The pay offer ranged between ₹3 lakh and ₹24 lakh, he said declining to name the company that made the highest offer.
Promising statsThe private university is funded by the Shiv Nadar Foundation established by Shiv Nadar, Founder of the $6.5 billion HCL group.
The university has announced admission for its 2015-16 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in various areas, including Schools of Engineering and Humanities and Social Sciences, he told newspersons.
The last date of receiving application forms for undergraduate program is June 2 and for postgraduate doctoral program it is May 30, he said.
This year two new postgraduate programs – Master of Fine Arst in Film & Television Production and PG Diploma in Theatre for Education and Social Transformation – are to be launched, he said.
