Balasubramanian Senthilkumaran, a professor and faculty member of the Department of Animal Biology, School of Life Sciences (SLS), at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been elected Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi.
He has been elected based on his pioneering work in the field of fish molecular endocrinology and reproductive biology.
Senthilkumaran has done his M. Phil from the University of Madras and Ph. D from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. His areas of research include Fish Molecular Endocrinology, Molecular Reproductive Biology, Neuroendocrinology and Developmental Biology.
He has also been an Academic Editor, PLoS One, from 2011 onwards and has also served on the editorial board for Gene, Gene Reports (Elsevier) since 2012, according to a release.
