Fabrento, an online furniture rental platform, will soon add two new verticals to its portfolio: wedding and corporate rental. In the next three-four months, the company plans to rent out the furniture for weddings as well as for the corporate events.
“We are working on creating a full furniture line for wedding planners so that they are able to rent them from us for the particular occasion. Secondly, we are also making furniture for the purpose of giving them on rent for corporate events and meetings,” said Sidhant Lamba, Founder, Fabrento.
He added that the soon-to-be-launched segments will cater to both affordable and luxury markets. Fabrento, which was launched in August 2016, is currently present in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Chandigarh. “The next city which we are targeting is Bengaluru,” said Lamba.
According to the firm, it has witnessed a ten-fold increase in the orders for renting furniture in the past one and half years.
‘Rent to Buy’
The firm had come up with a ‘Rent to Buy’ concept recently, which allows the customer to own the furniture they have taken on rent.
A customer has to pay a minimum rental for three months once he buys the furniture and the contract needs to be renewed after every year. Fabrento, which combines the words ‘fabulous’ and ‘renting’. “When I say fabulous, it means that we are trying to have a fabulous furniture and at the same time, trying to give it to the customers at a fabulous price,” said Lamba, who is also an interior designer.
