Mixed trend in sugar prices

With lower volume at mill and due to heavy rain all over, sugar prices at Vashi declined by ₹19 higher side for S-grade and increased by ₹10 for M-grade lower side. Naka and mill tender rates were unchanged on ease demand. Morale was steady said sources.

Arrivals at Vashi were 58 - 60 truck loads and local dispatches were at 55 – 56 truck loads. On Monday evening about 20 mills offered tenders and sold 45,000 bags at steady prices ₹3,590-3,650 for S-grade and ₹3,650 –3,750 for M-grade.

On Bombay Sugar Merchants Association's spot rates were: (in ₹ )S-grade 3,740- 3,796 ( 3,740 – 3,815) and M-grade 3,822 – 3,980 ( 3,812 – 3,982).

Naka delivery rates were: (in ₹) S-grade 3,686 – 3,752 ( 3,686 –3,752) and M-grade 3,752 – 3,867 (3,752 – 3,867).
