The 24-hour speed post booking facility at Anna Road Head Office has been discontinued due to the ongoing Chennai Metro rail works.
The speed post booking counter will not function from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. from December 1, says a press release issued by Postmaster General, Chennai City Region.
However, the 24 hours Speed Post Booking will continue to be available from Speed Post Hub at St. Thomas Mount and Chennai Sorting Office near the Chennai Central Railway Station.
Anna Road Counter will, however, function on Sundays and Holidays.
