Congress members walked out of the Gujarat Assembly on Thursday after four party MLAs were suspended for a day by the Speaker when they insisted on a discussion over the law-and-order situation in the State.
Congress MLAs Chandrika Baria and Mahendrasinh Bariya rushed to the well of the House and demanded a discussion in the zero hour.
Other Congress MLAs Tejasvini Patel and Kamani Rathod also joined the demand. Speaker Vaju Vala refused to give permission. However, the MLAs insisted that they wanted a discussion on the issue, which led to arguments.
On Wednesday also the Assembly witnessed protests by Congress members who were denied a discussion on the water scarcity condition in the State due to delayed monsoon.
Instead, they were suspended for a day from the Lower House.
