The Government of Telangana on Wednesday formed a panel of officials to frame modalities for implementation of the Financial Assistance for Students of Telangana Scheme (FAST) scheme meant for reimbursement of fees for students of weaker sections in professional courses.
As per the Government order issued here on Wednesday, those residing in Telangana before 1956 are only eligible to be beneficiaries of the scheme.
The revenue department would issue nativity certificates electronically for eligible candidates. Those who were already availing themselves of the fee reimbursement would be screened afresh, said an official.
