Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu began his US tour from Thursday, leading a high-level delegation, to hard-sell the state and woo investors from that country, especially in the sectors of IT, agriculture and manufacturing.

He is scheduled to meet the CEOs of several IT majors such as Apple, Google, Oracle and Cisco, and several MoUs will be signed by officials in his presence.

Three MoUs will be signed with California, Iowa and Illinois in the US to enable closer interaction and facilitate investment opportunities for the US companies in Andhra Pradesh.

Best practices will also be adopted from some of the US states. Iowa, for instance, leads in agricultural research and AP is one of the leading agricultural states in the country.

Chandrababu Naidu would receive the 'Transformative CM' award from the US-India Business Council on May 8 and on that occasion, several CEOs of important companies will attend the function. He will have individual meetings with most of them, says a press release issued by the State Government.

He will address the non-resident Telugu-speaking people in the US on two occasions and he will pay a visit to the Silicon Valley.

He is scheduled to meet John Chambers, Executive Chairman of Cisco, at the latter's residence, the release added.
