Sangita Reddy, FICCI Chairperson and Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group, said the Budget was a “cautious” one and corporate India would participate in the growth story.
“It’s a conscious effort to spend ₹3,600 crores to provide safe drinking water for 20 thousand habitations through National Rural Drinking water programme. I am happy to note that the Government is working on war footing to provide proper sanitation to the deprived community.
“This would address several health problems and provide better nutritional food,” she said.
She welcomed the choice of Andhra Pradesh for setting up an AIIMS and IIM.
