Haryana government has constituted a committee to expedite work on redevelopment of 13 railway stations in the state through Swiss Challenge method.
A Haryana government spokesman said Chief Minister Manohar Lal has approved a proposal to constitute a standing group to expedite these projects and appointed the Urban Local Bodies Director as Coordinating Officer.
The railway stations to be redeveloped are Ambala Cantt, Ballabgarh, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Jagadhri, Kalka, Karnal, Panipat, Rohtak, Sonipat, Bhiwani, Hisar and Rewari, an official statement said.
The spokesman said the Additional Chief Secretary, Town and Country Planning, would be Chairman of the five-member standing group that has Haryana Urban Development Authority Chief Administrator, Director Urban Local Bodies, District Revenue and District Town Planner as other members.
The panel will facilitate a single-window clearance from the railways’ side to expedite these projects.
A total of 400 railway stations are to be redeveloped in the country.
