More than 1,000 people participated in the 9th edition of Investothon 2012-13 race jointly organised by the National Stock Exchange and CNBC-TV18 here.
The race was flagged off by City Mayor Tony Chammany and Ernakulam District Collector Sheik Pareeth at Marine Drive Grounds.
The aim of Investothon race was to educate investors and market participants about thje investment potential in the country.
Thomas Muthoot, Director of Muthoot group; K Venkatraman, Managing Director and CEO of Karur Vysya Bank; Shyam Srinivasan, Managing Director, Federal Bank; and K.Hari, Vice-President, National Stock Exchange, participated.
The participants donated in kind and in cash to the charity partner, Smile Foundation.
