Keys Hotels & Resorts, a leading chain of mid-market hotels, has opened Keys Kochi, its 2nd hotel in Kerala and 16th across India. The first Keys Hotels in Kerala was opened in Thiruvanathapuram.
Funded by Berggruen Holdings, a New York-headquartered proprietary fund, Berggruen Hotels, formed in 2006, has been establishing mid-market hotels in Keys Hotels brand.
The hotel has 151 rooms, many of which offer views of the backwaters. The Keys Kochi has 10 rooms which have been designed to cater to the specific needs and requirements of a lady traveller and is under 24x7 CCTV surveillance.
Anshu Sarin, CEO of Berggruen Hotels, said that of the total current portfolio of Keys Hotels, 16 properties are in operation with six owned, six under management and four under franchise contract with a total inventory of close to 1,500 rooms.
According to her, 19 more hotels are expected to be operational soon both in management contract and franchise model.
Besides Kerala, Keys Hotels has presence in Aurangabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Mahabaleshwar, Mumbai, Pune, Silvassa, Shirdi, and Tirupati.
