Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao (KCR) has warned action against social media posts making baseless allegations. Cases will be filed against those who tarnish the image of the government, he said.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, KCR said some people are resorting to a campaign against the government and officials without any facts. While criticism is welcome, posts maligning the government, people’s representatives, objectionable, obscene posts and morphed photos are not acceptable, he added. “We will file cases against those people.”
Expressing happiness over the victory of the TRS-affiliated trade union in Singareni Collieries, he flayed the Opposition and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman Kodandaram on their stand on various government programmes. The trade union won nine out of 11 divisions in the keenly contested elections.
KCR further said the State government will honour all the promises made in the manifesto of its trade union in the Singareni polls.
The government will achieve the target of constructing 2.5 lakh two-bedroom houses, he said. “In Hyderabad, we will construct one lakh houses. Work on 20,000 houses have begun,” he said.
