Leading his party’s poll campaign from the front, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will resume his rallies in Gujarat with a public meeting on Friday in Porbandar, Mahatma Gandhi’s birthplace.
After a spirited campaign in October-November in all the four regions of Gujarat, Rahul is expected to scale up the effort ahead of two-phase elections on December 9 and 14.
He will also reach out to the fishing community in the coastal district of Porbandar, followed by an interaction with health professionals in Ahmedabad. He will also meet academicians and teachers and address a public meeting in the Nikol-Naroda area, dominated by Patidars, which assumes importance after Hardik Patel’s promise of support to the Congress.
On Saturday, Rahul will visit Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Mahisagar and Dahod districts, the last three being predominantly tribal. In Dahod, he will address a couple of public meetings before leaving for Delhi.
