Orb Energy has installed and commissioned a 200 kilowatt rooftop solar system at Sri Manjunath Foods and Packagings Pvt Ltd in Mangaluru. A press release said this installation would help Manjunath Foods generate over 3 lakh units of electricity a year harnessing solar energy to power its mineral water manufacturing unit.
Quoting Chetan Shetty, Director of Sri Manjunath Foods and Packagings Pvt Ltd, it said the projected savings will be approximately ₹20 lakh a year for the company. This will help the company to stay competitive in the market, he said.
