Members of Parliament from NDA’s ally, Telugu Desam Party, as well as opposition YSR Congress staged a protest in the Lok Sabha on Monday demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh.
While YSRC members trooped to the Well of the House, shouting slogans during the entire two-hour-long Question Hour and Zero Hour,
TDP protestTDP members flashed placards and refused to go back to their seats despite repeated requests by Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
The TDP, which is an ally in the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), is cut up with the Centre for not giving it adequate funds after its separation from Telangana.
