To identify, nurture innovation and disruptive technologies, Bengaluru-based real estates developer Brigade Group has launched the ‘Brigade Real Estate Accelerator Program’ (REAP).
“We are launching this initiative as the sector is vastly untapped and there is isolated range of work such as IoT, big data, VR/AR, nanotechnology, cleantech and renewable technology, visual computing, supply chain and logistics,” said MR Jaishanakr, CMD, Brigade Enterprises, after launching the REAP.
“The Brigade REAP is focusing on partnerships with industry leaders to create a structured programme that mentors a pool of high quality tech focused start-ups adding value to the real estate industry at large,” he added.
The company has identified key areas like product development, technology road map, people strategy, go-to-market strategy, marketing branding, and PR strategy and investment readiness.
Streamlining potential Speaking on the objective of REAP, John Kuruvilla, chief mentor, Brigade REAP, said “We are ensuing that innovative ideas are not lost in execution and find the perfect application in the realty trade.”
The strength of REAP lies in its straight forward approach to streamlining the business potential of an innovation, with on-ground challenges and realities.
Nirupa Shankar, the brain behind the new initiative and director Brigade Hospitality services, said the purpose of the program is to help bring about exponential operating efficiencies not only to our business but the industry at large. The accelerator will give young companies access to deep domain knowledge in the real estate sector and the focus to solve, on ground issues that plague the industry.”
