No future or ongoing real estate projects can be advertised without registration with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, according to a statement from the Ministry of Urban Housing and Poverty Alleviation. In a letter dated June 12 to the National Real Estate Development Council, the Ministry said, “Section 3 (1) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 prohibits advertisement for all projects (ongoing/future) without registration with the real estate authority. This provision has come into effect from May 1, 2017,” it further added.
