Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away at his Bandra apartment on Sunday afternoon according to media reports.
The 34-year old ‘MS Dhoni’ actor was found hanging at his Bandra residence. The Mumbai Police is investigating the actor’s death as suicide, as per reports.
Last week, Disha Salian, Rajput’s former manager had passed away. The executive had committed suicide. The actor had been aggrieved by her passing.
The Bollywood fraternity that had recently lost two of its major stars, Irfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor reacted in shock and grief on social media at the news of Rajput’s passing.
“At a loss for words.. So shocked to hear about #SushantSinghRajput ’s demise. My condolences with his family” tweeted Sanjay Dutt.
“#SushantSinghRajput I can’t believe this. I met him just before the lockdown. Shocked. Please tell me this isn’t true,” Kunal Kohli tweeted.
“Shocked beyond words !!!! #SushantSinghRajput no more .... deeply saddened!!” wrote Riteish Deshmukh.
“Shocked..Heartbroken...Bhai..no words...wish this was not true,” Sonu Sood tweeted.
Rajput who was a Mechanical Engineering student at Delhi Technological University (DTU) had forayed into acting with the lead role in the popular TV show "Pavitra Rishta". He had made his Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor's "Kai Po Che" in 2013. He is known for his role as former Indian cricket team captain - Mahendra Singh Dhoni - in his biopic apart from his role opposite Sara Ali Khan in Kedarnath.
