Chennai's Great Lakes Institute of Management has collaborated with the US-based Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business to launch a one year MS programme in Managing Information Technology (MSMIT).
The first term of the three terms of the programme will be held in India and the subsequent terms in Georgia State University, Atlanta. On successful completion of the programme, an MS degree will be awarded by Georgia State University.
The programme is primarily aimed at IT professionals who have more than five years of work experience in the IT industry and now wish to get an integrated and holistic view of managing IT companies.
The first batch of MSMIT will commence between September and October 2014, with the first term being held in India at the Chennai campus of Great Lakes. The subsequent two terms will be held at Atlanta and will start from early 2015.
The Robinson's Computer Information Systems department of the university ranks 10th in the US and the MSMIT programme is of the reputed Information Technology programmes.
