Going cardio-friendly
On World Heart Day, September 29, the focus is to create heart-healthy environments, says the World Health Federation. By ensuring that people make heart-healthy choices wherever they live, work and play, World Heart Day encourages people to reduce their cardiovascular risk. This fortnight will also see a UN-convened high-level meeting in New York on “antimicrobial resistance” (AMR). The September 21 meet looks to cobble up international political commitment to increase awareness on antimicrobial resistance and develop a single, effective approach across sectors (veterinary, agriculture, finance, etc).
