Playing ball sports has been an important part of my growing up. I always make the effort to play on a regular basis, even for a short duration. I’m into playing badminton, tennis or football 2-3 times a week. Running around the badminton or tennis court or the football field sets the tone for the day.
I prefer sleeping early and waking up early. An early start also improves productivity through the day as quite a few things get done in the morning hours.
My work involves much travel and working off the jet lag is an art! I do it by integrating work orsocialising with the time zone of the city. I explore for avenues of physical activity in the city, apart from the gym or pool in the hotel. It’s always fun to socialise with locals over sport.
This year, I have started a strict watch on my diet and have lost 6 kg of the 20 kg targeted. This was needed as my travel in the past six months has been too extensive. Hence, I have also changed the nutrition accordingly. My meal plan begins with breakfast at 9 am, usually rich in protein, consisting of omelette/egg whites and almonds. This is followed by a quick snack at 11 am with almonds/walnuts bar. Lunch is at 1 pm, mostly chicken salad or grilled chicken and it’s rounded off with an early supper.
For a healthy life, managing stress is key. I love listening to music or watching football on TV as I am a passionate fan of Bayern Munich. During weekends, spending time with the family gives me the biggest high, especially my kids.
