The 6th Global Forum on TB Vaccines (February 22–25) centres on the theme - “New horizons for TB vaccines”, reflecting the changing global landscape in which TB vaccine research and development is being conducted. It comes as TB vaccines advance into late-stage clinical trials and toward licensure.
Against the pandemic backdrop, the virtual event will see extensive participation from several health stakeholders, including India’s Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, World Health Organization chief Dr Tedros, United States infectious diseases expert Dr Anthony Fauci, International AIDS Vaccine Initiative’s Mark Feinberg and GAVI chief Seth Berkley, among others.
