Infinity display is the in-thing in the world of smartphones now. Joining the trend, Samsung has launched four new smartphones in its galaxy A & J Series that boast of an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The Galaxy J6, J8, A6 and A6+ offer nearly 15 per cent more display area without increasing the overall size of the device thanks to super thin bezels and by swapping the physical home button with an in-display one.

The finger print sensor has been moved to the back side for more convenience. South Korean Samsung says the new phones debut the company’s brand new ‘Make for India’ innovation that complements “millennial requirements” of uninterrupted video binging.

The Galaxy J6, J8, A6 and A6+ come with AMOLED display and ergonomic design. Samsung has added a new ‘Chat Over Video’ feature to the phones which it says will improve viewing experience while chatting. The feature allows consumers to chat through a transparent chat window and keyboard, while a video is still running. This can help avoid chat interruptions while viewing content on mobile devices.

The Galaxy A series phones have metal unibody and sleek designs. The A6+ has a 6-inch Full HD+ display, while Galaxy A6 has a 5.6 inch HD+ display. Galaxy J series smartphones come with a premium polycarbonate unibody. The J8 has a 6-inch HD+ display, while J6 come with 5.6-inch HD+ display.

The Samsung Mall app, which company calls a Make for India innovation, uses artificial intelligence to let users shop by clicking a picture of a product and automatically getting results for the item across popular e-commerce platforms.

Galaxy A6+ and J8 come with dual rear cameras. The primary rear camera has 16MP and F1.7 aperture, while the secondary rear camera has 5MP and F1.9 aperture. Galaxy A6 has an 16MP rear camera with F1.7 aperture while J6 has a 13MP rear shooter with F1.9 aperture. Samsung claims that the new smartphones are equipped with low-aperture lenses, allowing consumers to capture sharp, clear photos in low light conditions.

The front camera on all the four phones features an adjustable selfie flash, allowing consumers to tweak their selfies. Galaxy A6+ has a 24MP front shooter, while both Galaxy A6 and J8 sport a 16MP front camera. Galaxy J6 comes with 8MP front shooter. All front cameras have F1.9 aperture.

The new phones come with Octa core processors, and come in 4GB/64GB RAM/ROM variants. Galaxy A6+ and J8 are powered by a 3,500 mAh battery, while Galaxy A6 and J6 come with 3,000 mAh battery and all the devices run on Android Oreo.
