Seven more companies have sought land from the Tamil Nadu government to set up their units inside the aerospace park at Sriperumbudur.
This is in addition to allotment of space to 14 aerospace component manufacturers, says a government press release.
The Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (Tidco) is setting up the aero park in 250-acres inside Sipcot Industrial Estate.
An Advanced Computing & Design Engineering Centre is being set up at a cost of ₹350 crore. In addition, Tidel Park will construct a multi-storey, factory building inside the park.
Construction is expected to begin in June or July, says a government press release.
The release said that 11 companies, including LMW Coimbatore, Salem Aerospace Engineers and Sundaram Fasteners, were part of the Tidco pavilion at Aero India 2017 held in Bengaluru recently.
